History Teacher

Kolej Yayasan UEM (KYUEM) is a prestigious, fully residential A-Level college located in Lembah Beringin, Selangor, Malaysia. Graduates attain some of the best A-Level results in the world, and the college consistently ranks among the finest colleges in SE Asia. Students are taught by an internationally diverse and widely experienced faculty from Malaysia and overseas. The college teaches AS and A-Level students only, in two annual intakes: a 24-month programme in July and an 18-month programme in January.

History Teacher

KYUEM teaching staff must be well-qualified graduates who have prior experience in teaching their specialist subject at a high level. Desirable requirements for successful applicants will include:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in the subject discipline or a teaching degree specialising in History.
• A PGCE is desirable if you do not have a teaching degree.
• At least 3 years’ experience teaching A-Level History.
• Aptitude to teach History to high ability students with high expectations
• Demonstration of strategies for maximising students’ potential.
• Ability to plan innovative teaching activities alongside local teachers.

Experience of working in a residential school environment, plus the supervision of extra-curricular programmes are both desirable attributes.
