This role is ideal for those looking to take their first step into leadership, working within a large, diverse faculty alongside staff with a wealth of experience and skills and the opportunity to complete the NPQML qualification.

You will work alongside the HOD to drive improvement for all groups of students, including those who are disadvantaged and higher ability and continue the drive for recruitment to maintain high numbers already opting to study the subject at GCSE.

With responsibility for co-ordinating the Key Stage 3 curriculum (Years 7–9) – scheme of work, resource materials, assessment, and providing advice/support to colleagues as required. 

You will develop the quality of teaching and learning within the faculty - monitoring standards, reviewing existing practice and planning for the future and  widen the extra-curricular offer to students to broaden their educational experience.
