Job overview

King Richard III Infant and Nursery School is a very popular, vibrant and exciting school – an unexpected oasis of green trees and growing spaces at the heart of Leicester’s West End. It's a lovely school, serving a disadvantaged community where every day every member of staff knows that they are making a huge difference.  There is a friendly, supportive atmosphere throughout the school and the teaching and support staff work together as an amazing team with parents and governors. We work with an incredibly diverse range of children and families and pride ourselves on our rich and inclusive approach to learning here.

This is a great place to learn and grow as a professional, whether you’re at the start of your career or looking to broaden your experience – the school is full of strong practice that leads to great progress for our pupils, from children right at the start of the early years through to those who are ready to move on to KS2. King Richards serves a rich and vibrant community, encompassing a fantastically wide range of languages and cultures as well as diverse additional needs in our very inclusive school.

We want to appoint a skilled, highly-organised and enthusiastic HLTA to work across our school. You will be teaching groups and classes of pupils, delivering some interventions and bringing a wide range of activities to life to engage our pupils and help them to meet their full potential. You will have experience of working with mainstream and SEND pupils and will have the skills to work with the 3-7 age range of our learners.

This is a permanent post, working 32.5 hrs per week, term time only.
