Job overview

Hours: At least four afternoons per week (possibly up to six); this will include every Saturday for fixtures. Hours as required to fulfil duties of the role, which will include home and away match fixtures. Term time only.

An opportunity is now available for a Hockey Coach to join our Sports Department. The successful candidate will be required to provide professional, safe and fun Hockey coaching for all year groups, with a particular focus on our 2nd XI.

The successful candidate will possess experience of coaching Hockey at this level and will be motivated to help raise the standard of Hockey at Pangbourne. The ability to build pupils’ confidence and enhance self-esteem is critical to this role. You must also promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils and encourage all students to interact and work cooperatively.

Ideally located

The campus is set in 230 acres of beautiful West Berkshire countryside, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and yet we are just 10 minutes from Junction 12 of the M4 motorway. We are also on the mainline rail network between Oxford (30 minutes) and London Paddington (45 minutes). Daily school transport services are available from Ascot, Basingstoke, Henley/Wargrave, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wantage.

Highly rated

In November 2019, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) rated the college as ‘Excellent’ for both the academic and personal development of its pupils. It said: ‘Pupils demonstrate exemplary attitudes to learning: they respond to academic challenge with energy and purpose.’
