About Vinehall School

In January 2025 Marlborough House School and Vinehall School will merge, operating on two sites until September 2025 when the school will operate as a single entity on the current Vinehall site in Robertsbridge, East Sussex, and has the clear vision of becoming a leading Prep School in the South East of England.

Marlborough House Vinehall will be part of the Repton Family of Schools.

Vinehall School and Marlborough House School are leading co-educational preparatory schools for children aged 2 to 13, located just 15 minutes from one another in the picturesque countryside of East Sussex and Kent, respectively. Vinehall School offers a full boarding provision and welcomes International pupils to its diverse cohort.

Both schools prioritise academic excellence alongside pastoral care, fostering kindness, confidence, and resilience. They offer extensive facilities, including theatres, sports pitches, and outdoor learning spaces, encouraging participation in music, drama, sports, as well as Forest School.

With inclusive communities and values rooted in integrity and ambition, they provide a nurturing environment that prepares pupils for success at top senior schools and beyond, while instilling curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

The coming together of these two ambitious and successful schools, with the support of the Repton Family of Schools pave the way for Marlborough House Vinehall to be a leading Prep School in the South East of England.

Vinehall became part of the Repton Family of Schools in May 2022 and is fortunate to harness the expertise of senior Repton staff, working closely with the Vinehall leadership team to push forward improvements in many aspects of the School’s operations and education.

Repton have enabled site improvements, refurbishments and capital projects. Staff have enrolled on the Repton Family of Schools leadership courses, offered across the group for middle and senior leaders; they will be working closely with colleagues from the UAE, Malaysia, Egypt and China.

The close relationship between Repton and Vinehall is forged from a meeting of values and cultures and a firm belief that we can be the prep school of first choice in the area, flourishing both academically and financially.
