Home School Link Worker,  part or full time in term time 

Hoe Valley School is a small, four-form entry secondary school that opened in September 2015 to serve the local community of South Woking. The School follows the national curriculum and offers an extended day and allowing time for additional Maths, English, Enrichment and project based learning.  

We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous practitioner to join our team in leading a new school on its journey to becoming an established, outstanding and oversubscribed community school.  

The successful candidate will be part of the Personalisation Team and directly accountable to the Deputy Head Teacher. Our new Home School Link Worker will contribute to improving student engagement with school, attendance to School and work with students on a 1:1 level as well as working with their families. They will share the school's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels. 

This is a full or part time role during term-time only (39 weeks a year). 

About you:  

  • You will have A* - C grade in English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent
  • You will have experience of working in a Primary or Secondary school setting
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong levels of numeracy, written and oral communication
  • You will be a team player who is willing to support all aspects of School life
