Our friendly, welcoming Prep school is seeking a creative and talented Hospitality and Catering Administration Assistant to support the Chef Manager (Prep), Catering Operations Manager and Hospitality and Catering Manager with the co-ordination of the catering requirements for the Prep School. 

The role requires someone who has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and has efficient and effective administrative skills. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential to the role. Full training will be given. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing administrative and catering support within a catering and hospitality environment, including experience of allergen management.  Excellent IT and communication skills are essential to the role.

This is a permanent position, offered on a part-time basis working 20 hours per week, term time, plus 8 days. Working Monday to Friday 9.30am – 1.30pm for 36.6 weeks per year (35 weeks full operation, 8 days worked in the school holiday periods). There may be some flexibility in the exact number of hours worked and start and finish times for the right candidate. There is scope for professional development and an increase in hours as the role develops. A flexible approach to work is required as there may be occasional requirements to work outside of normal hours to support school events.

This position is predominantly based at our Prep School in Wheathampstead but there may be the occasional requirement to work at our Senior School site based in St Albans.
