Job overview

We are currently seeking a part-time Hospitality Cook, with a genuine interest in producing well-prepared, well-presented food, to support the Head Chef in providing a high quality hospitality offering to pupils, staff, visiting parents and other dignitaries.

A key aspect of this role will be preparing staff lunches and match teas for visiting sports teams and parents. Additionally there will be the opportunity to work alongside the Hospitality Head Chef, preparing the food for central school functions. These range from marketing events for prospective parents; fund-raising dinners; catering for internal work parties and departmental dinners; to catering for the Headmaster’s official functions in his home, with numbers ranging from 10 through to 200 people.

The successful candidate will have substantial relevant experience in kitchen production or a similar position. NVQ Level 1 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene certificates are desirable.
