Ealing, Hammersmith and West London’s College is going through an exciting period of rapid improvement. As part of that process we are currently looking to recruit Hourly Paid Lecturers who will deliver an innovative and flexible curriculum that really meets the needs of our learners. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to a variety of curriculum areas across our four Colleges in Ealing, Southall, Hammersmith and Acton. We are seeking applications from high quality lecturing staff who will work flexibly to ensure our students achieve and succeed.

Working with committed teams, delivering learning, developing lesson plans and constantly assessing learners’ outcomes you will contribute positively to the continuing improvement of the College. The successful candidates will also be key to ensuring the successful embedding of English and Maths within the curriculum.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who specialise in the following subjects:

Biology and Chemistry; Construction (Various Specialist); Accounting ; Heating and Plumbing;  Human Resources;  Motor Vehicle (Engineering); German; Skills for Life;  Dental Nursing;  Business; Norwegian and History ICT; ESOL/EFL; Travel & Tourism: Childcare & STLS; Hairdressing & Beauty : Hair & Beauty (Functional Skills)

The Person

Looking for flexible hours that suit you, but able to commit to the College, the successful applicants will be experienced educators, passionate about student success and driven to deliver continuous improvement.  With a demonstrable track record in delivering innovative and creative teaching and learning you will also have an up to date in depth knowledge of curriculum delivery in your specialist area.

With QTLS status or working towards it, you will have a relevant degree, a teaching qualification and evidence of CPD.  You will also have:

  • A demonstrable ability to inspire and engage.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to the ethos of team work.
  • Maths & English qualifications at level 2 or above.

In addition to these skills and behaviors you will also be able to demonstrate your commitment to the values of our College – Excellence, ambition, focus, accountability, inclusion and integrity.

Hours: As and when agreed
Tenure: Hourly Paid
Salary Scale: £24-£36 per hour
Starting: These roles will commence towards the end of August 2016.
