As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we have a fantastic opportunity within computing and IT for an enthusiastic Lecturer to join us on an hourly paid basis, reporting into the Head of Section for Computing.

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer who has experience of working with computer systems, website design, digital graphics and web animation and interactive media. We are also particularly interested in those that have experience in: software design and development and communication and employability skills in IT.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in computing and IT to help shape the future of our department. Not only will you be leading tutorship on the course and sharing your experience and knowledge but you always be creating opportunities for students, including work experience. You will be motivated and have great interpersonal skills and an ability to engage, motivate and support mixed ability learners.

To be successful, you will hold a degree and/or appropriate professional qualification relevant to the department as well as a Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification. You will have experience of excellent teaching and learning practice on work-based programmes and the ability to teach using diverse methods and adapt to needs of particular student groups
