Job overview
We are looking for a housekeeping lead to co-ordinate and lead the day to day activities of the housekeeping department. With a Five Star Food Hygiene rating year in year out and a qualified and competent team we are proud of. Not only their commitment to making sure young people consistently enjoy a free hot meal during the school day and in residence but their commitment to making sure our campus and buildings are clean, warm and homely places for children and young people to live and learn in.
Ideally, applicants will already have previous experience of working in a similar role. Recent food hygiene and allergy awareness certificates are desirable but not essential, as opportunities for sponsored training are available. With over 100 children and young people aged between 3 and 19 our campus is full of life so you’ll need to be able to work calmly and be well organised to get the job done.
All staff enjoy a personalised program of continuing professional development, access to a workplace pension scheme and 7.2 weeks paid holiday leave entitlement.
Royal School for the Deaf Derby is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. All roles at the School are regulated activities as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Appointments are subject to a satisfactory criminal record check at an enhanced level.
Closing date for applications: 10 June 2022 Interviews: 21 June 2022
