Following the appointment of the current Head of Faulkner’s Boys to a Head of a Senior School post, we are seeking an outstanding teacher to develop this important role, which is designed to enhance the experience of pupils and support their progress within a thriving, distinctive and innovative co-educational boarding house.
The Head of Faulkner’s Boys will report to the Deputy Head (Pastoral), and play an important part in setting the ethos and tone of this vital year, in the pupil’s journey at Bradfield.
Faulkner’s has a group of one hundred and seven Year 9 boys currently and the Head of Faulkner’s Boys will be responsible for promoting and fostering high expectations for all the boys in that year. As well as working closely with the Head of Faulkner’s Girls, the post holder will be expected to support and coordinate the pastoral and academic wellbeing of all the pupils in their care, and to lead an experienced team of matrons and tutors.
The successful candidate will have an established record of working within a school and experience of providing pastoral support for young people, ideally with pupils in this age group. Experience in a boarding or day house would be seen as beneficial as well as evidence of contributing to the academic, pastoral, moral and co-curricular development of young people in their care.
