Job overview
Strathallan is seeking to appoint an outstanding and committed Housemaster to lead Freeland House, one of four senior boys’ boarding houses in the school, to start in post from either April or September 2022.
Freeland House is centrally located in the School’s 153 acre campus and approximately sixty boys aged 13-18 (both boarding and day pupils) are assigned to the boarding house. The Housemaster is supported by a Resident Tutor, a Senior Tutor, a Matron and a team of tutors. The post would suit an experienced teacher with an outstanding track record in the classroom alongside significant pastoral experience in a boarding school.
A calm, resilient, enthusiastic and optimistic outlook is essential for this role as is personal warmth, empathy and an understanding of young people. Further details on this position, the boarding house and the School can be obtained from the attached Candidate Brief.
