Frewen College is an Independent Special School for Dyslexic Pupils, (7-19 years - boarding students from age 9) situated on a 160-acre estate in the Sussex countryside.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time residential Boarding Houseparent to be responsible for managing the Boys’ Boarding House under the supervision of the Head of Boarding. Whilst we will consider applicants from either gender, we would prefer a male as there is only one other male member of staff in the Boys’ Boarding House.

The role may be combined with a small teaching timetable, depending on skills and experience.  

The successful candidate will possess suitable and relevant experience of working in a boarding setting.  A flexible and adaptable approach to working with staff, pupils, parents, and the local community is essential.  We are looking for a friendly proactive team player to join our dedicated staff who is committed to the social, personal, and academic development of our students. Enthusiasm, patience, and a sense of ‘I can’ along with a good sense of humour are all required in addition to sound organisational skills.
