Windermere is an IB World and Round Square School, stunningly situated in the heart of the Lake District, overlooking the shores of Windermere and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A well-qualified and enthusiastic person is required to run Langdale House, a boarding house for boys aged 8 to 16. As a Houseparent at Windermere School, the successful applicant will join the School’s boarding team in providing a positive, supportive and fulfilling school experience for the students in their care.
If you have proven experience in pastoral provision, with strong classroom teaching skills and the enthusiasm and ability to inspire, excite and motivate pupils, we would be delighted to hear from you. The position will offer teaching opportunities and the ability to teach Physics, Chemistry or Modern Foreign Languages throughout the School would be a considerable advantage, as would knowledge of the International Baccalaureate.
The Houseparent will be provided with accommodation in the boarding house which comprises: a kitchen/diner, living room, bathroom, one double bedroom and a single bedroom. The flat also has private access via a patio door.

“A wide range of weekend activities takes place in school, in the surrounding area and elsewhere in the country. Many activities also take place on weekday afternoons and evenings.
