Applications are invited from well-qualified and suitably-experienced candidates for the role of resident boys’ Houseparent/Housemaster. A clear understanding of the pastoral needs of boys is essential, as is an understanding of the demands of a full-time residential post, in what are highly exciting times in the College’s history with significant growth and investment taking place.
Lord Wandsworth College is one of the country’s leading co-educational boarding and day Colleges for approximately 600 pupils aged 11-18. Set within 1,200 acres of its own farmland on the North Hampshire/Surrey border, Lord Wandsworth College offers a rich education designed to allow its pupils to flourish in a rapidly changing and challenging 21st-century world. A pioneering character education programme overarches the excellent academic, co-curricular and pastoral provision, through which countless opportunities are created for all pupils to develop the qualities and attitudes of mind needed to lead successful and fulfilled lives now and in the future.
School House accommodates approximately 75 boarding and day boys from 3rd Form to U6th. School House is situated at the very heart of the College, with playing fields right outside the front door. The Houseparent is assisted by Matrons, a resident Assistant Houseparent and an excellent team of tutoring staff.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher, preferably with leadership experience, with a desire to contribute fully to the co-curricular life of the school.
A competitive salary scale and family accommodation is offered with this post.
