An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our Independent School on a fixed term basis as a HR Advisor. This is an exciting time to join the team as we will be launching a new HR system (iTrent) to managers and employees. There will be a number of projects for the successful candidate to get involved in, requiring a strong understanding of organisational design and engagement. 

Working in collaboration with predominantly operational teams at the School, you will be accountable for supporting the School across the full employee life cycle to best practice principles. You will work seamlessly to bring to life HR policy and process and weave it into the fabric of everyday life.  You will be the first point of contact for employees in your client areas ensuring a high standard of accessible HR support in a down to earth, professional and pragmatic manner.

This is a fast paced educational organisation, and you will be required to hit the ground running and manage a varied and diverse workload. The key to your success will be your ability to communicate effectively, build strong working relationships with your line leaders, be highly organised and adaptable to change. No two days will be the same, however common activities may include recruitment and selection, advising and supporting grievance and disciplinary processes, absence management, contractual changes, analysing and reporting on management information, supporting managers, designing and delivering training workshops and ad-hoc HR projects. 

Who will this role appeal to? 

With a proven track record of relevant HR officer/advisor experience from within fast paced environment (preferably with the education sector), you will be keen to embrace this diverse role.  It is essential for the role that you are CIPD qualified and possess strong employment law knowledge.
