About Sherborne Area Schools' Trust

Welcome

We are a family of 18 schools, across Dorset and Somerset, working together to deliver educational excellence for all the children within our communities. All schools are equal partners and committed to the principles of collaboration, sharing expertise and resources to deliver the best possible education for all young people in our care. We celebrate our schools unique and individual characteristics, recognising the communities they serve. We value our staff and the contribution they bring to our schools and the trust and look to foster leadership and succession planning as well as offering greater opportunities within the trust. Our Executive team is based in Shaftesbury and consists of our Directors with responsibility for Education, HR, Operations and Finance. With our schools being located relatively closely together, we intend to move towards a hub model, enabling us to deliver central services efficiently, with schools working closely with their neighbours. We recognise there is real strength in coming together to increase the number of opportunities for both students and staff to develop.
