Job overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to play a key role supporting all generalist HR activities at St. Edward’s.

The HR Advisor will be a proactive and responsive first contact point for HR queries and will escalate any complex matters to the Head of HR. 

The role holder will be involved in HR operations, employee relations and absence management as well as strategic and operational HR projects. Their key responsibilities will include: 

  • Proactively suggesting and implementing new internal HR processes 
  • Keeping up-to-date on employment law issues 
  • Assisting the Head of HR in managing issues of staff performance, disciplinary and grievance matters 
  • Providing advice to staff and managers on various family-friendly rights and policies 
  • Assisting the Lead Recruitment Advisor during periods of intense recruitment activity 

Suitable candidates will need to be qualified to a minimum CIPD level 3 or possess equivalent experience. A good working knowledge of employment law and writing HR policies and procedures is equally important.
