As a new all-through school, Goresbrook School is attempting to do the seemingly impossible; ensure all young people, regardless of background, have the real option to succeed at a top university. Goresbrook School is an exciting new school that opened in 2016. Tenacious in approach, our team are committed to transforming the lives of students and do so through unwavering belief, positivity, creativity, hard work and collaboration. Many of us are TeachFirst Ambassadors but regardless of our how we came into the profession we are all determined to leave a lasting legacy. 

We are looking for a dedicated, resilient and pro-active individual to join our growing HR Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Officer as well as the Principal, to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures across the School. The ideal candidate will be patient, organised and hard working. The role brings great variety, and no two days will be the same. The role is well suited to someone who is highly flexible, positive and is looking for a new challenge.


We are looking for an exceptional candidate who: 

●       can support all staff recruitment including placing adverts, responding to applicants, organisation of interviews, reference requests and other safeguarding checks

●       can lead the student interview panel throughout the year

●       can communicate all payroll changes to central HR, including starters, leavers, contract variations, maternity/paternity etc

●       can produce contracts of employment and variation letters

●       To carry out DBS checks and to accurately maintain the Single Central Record (SCR)

●       can keep staff files up to date in line with data retention policies

●       To respond to reference requests for staff who have left, involving appropriate School Leadership

We currently have 720 students, years 7 to 13. We have grown each year and are at full capacity this year, including our Sixth Form, which opened in September 2021.
