Appleford School is a specialist school for pupils aged 7-18 with dyslexia and associated learning difficulties.  Our ethos is to build pupils’ confidence through continuous support and celebration of success.  Rated ‘Excellent’ by ISI in all categories, the school has been providing the highest quality teaching for pupils with dyslexia for over 30 years.

We are looking to recruit a full time Assistant for our HR department:

• The successful candidate will be friendly, professional, enthusiastic, and able to work independently. You will need to be highly organised to cope with the demands of a busy office environment where attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality are paramount. A genuine interest in the welfare of our staff is essential.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, competent IT skills and be comfortable working with colleagues across the school.

• Knowledge of HR desirable but not essential.

• Responsible for accuracy of the schools Single Central Register for current and new staff, working with our Operations Manager to ensure inspection readiness.

• Time management of the Ops manager’s diary; managing staff queries where possible. 

• Managing relevant correspondence and communications as directed by the Ops Manager.


Hours: Full-time, 8.30-5pm term time, 9-4pm in school holidays. £22,000 per annum starting January 2022
