Job overview

We are now welcoming applications for a HR Business Partner, to join our HR team.

As HR Business Partner, you will deliver and develop an excellent human resources service which satisfies the College requirements and is flexible and responsive to customer needs. You will be approachable, proactive and customer focussed.

You will be responsible for ensuring an excellent recruitment, selection and appointments service is delivered for the college which is responsive to college needs. You will respond to day to day issues and provide advice and support to managers on probation reviews, maternity, sickness absence (and other employee relation issues), whilst ensuring that college policies and procedures are adhered too. You will take the lead on HR projects and ensure the HR system is updated accurately with staff records. You will prepare and issue relevant HR documents including offer letters, contracts, salary and role changes and ensure that Payroll is notified of these changes and the HR system is also updated.

You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in working in a Human Resources team, have experience in using HR systems, have experience in recruitment and supporting managers of all levels. You will have up to date knowledge on employment law and be a competent user in Microsoft Office.

Applicants should either be part or fully CIPD qualified, with a Level 2 in an IT qualification, or willing to work towards.
