We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join our Trust Central HR Team.

This is a permanent post, working 35 hours per week, all year round.

The salary for this post spans Grade 7-8, reflecting a starting salary of £32,909, with a maximum salary of 41,496.

Responsible for a designated group of schools, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will provide proactive support and advice to school leaders on all staffing issues, both at a strategic and operational level. You will be based in our central support office at Greenacres (Piper Hill Sixth Form site in Wythenshawe) and spend a day each week in your designated schools to provide on-site support.

You will work in partnership with school leadership to lead on all HR advice and support, ensuring compliance and a solutions-focused approach:

  • managing individual cases, providing timely advice and support for formal meetings
  • monitoring and auditing HR processes managed within school to an agreed schedule
  • providing regular feedback to SLT and escalating concerns as appropriate 
  • producing staffing reports for LGBs and Trust Committees 
  • Monitoring staffing data, identifying trends, risks and actions required in line with Trust policies (e.g. absence triggers) 
  • providing oversight and support with the annual workforce planning process 


You will be a member of the central Trust HR team, providing a key link between the Trust central team and the schools working closely with the Head of HR and wider HR team, colleagues in centralised business support teams, Executive Headteachers and Headteachers. You will line manage an HR Administrator who is assigned to support you for your designated group of schools.

The Trust was formed in September 2017 through the merger of two multi academy trusts. Teacher Training

The Trust offers outstanding primary and secondary routes into teaching with both mainstream and special schools.

Primary with SEND

Our Primary Education: Inclusion with SEND programme allows you the opportunity to train to teach in both mainstream and specialist settings. We work in partnership with the University of Cumbria and, upon successful completion, candidates are awarded a PGCE with qualified teacher status.

Secondary

We have four mainstream secondary schools dedicated to training teachers through the School Direct route. This is a school-led teacher training programme where you are attached to a Prospere Trust school from the very first day of your training. We work with the Manchester Teaching School Alliance and Manchester Metropolitan University to deliver this course.

Central Services

We ensure that our schools receive continuous consistent operational support through our recently centralised service teams. The Central MAT Team includes HR, Finance, Estates, IT and Catering. This multi-functional, dedicated and continually developing team works tirelessly to support the efficient and effective running of our schools, enabling staff at school level to focus on delivering exceptional education to all children and young people.


Network Groups

The Prospere Learning Trust believes in working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes and life chances for students. There are several network groups comprising staff from all Trust schools focusing on key areas from curriculum and literacy to wellbeing and community of belonging. The network groups are designed to support the MAT Improvement Plan, develop and share best practice and promote cross Trust collaborative working.
