Job overview

Do you have an eye for detail, a passion for quality, a tenacious streak and a strong administrative background, with experience working in the education sector or a similar legally regulated environment?

We are looking to appoint a talented and responsible Human Resources, Compliance and Privacy Officer to ensure regulatory compliance throughout all aspects of the school. You’ll be working with colleagues at all levels keeping policies and risk assessments up to date and compliant with all relevant demands, both of the law and of the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate, on an  ongoing basis. You will ensure all staff are up to date with their individual compliance requirements through management of the Policy Tracker system. As HR Officer, you will be assisting with compliance in safer recruitment practice, and supporting and working closely with the HR Manager to ensure operational excellence through all CPD and staffing matters across the school. You will also be responsible for ensuring staff are aware of their responsibilities in relation to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and any data requests which may be received.

Radnor House is a 9-18, selective, co-educational, independent day school set in historic buildings on the banks of the River Thames in Twickenham, just 30 minutes from Central London. It was judged as ‘Excellent’ in all categories by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in February 2020. The relatively small size of the school (c.440 pupils) enables us to focus on the individual needs of all of our pupils, fostering a supportive and collaborative community where pupil success is regularly celebrated.

The post is full-time and a 52-week, year-round position (with 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays). We offer a competitive salary which will be dependent upon experience.

Radnor House Twickenham is a coeducational day school of 455 pupils aged 11-18 that enjoys a stunning location on the banks of the River Thames.

Our core values of courage, excellence, perseverance and respect permeate everything we do. We create every opportunity for the children to develop teamwork, co-operation and diplomacy, to fine-tune their emotional intelligence, both in the classroom and beyond.

Our pupils thrive in small classes with a strong focus on individual attention. We prefer encouragement to pressure. We stretch, challenge and support every child through inspirational teaching, proactive pastoral care and a wide range of co-curricular activities, including a dynamic and exciting performing arts programme.

A top-quality education and a friendly atmosphere combine to create an exceptional environment with proven outcomes of success, where happy children enjoy a busy, enriched school life supported by an actively involved parent community.

It is easy to reach by public transport with mainline train services to and from Twickenham or Strawberry Hill stations and a plethora of bus services available. All pupils have access to first-rate sporting facilities nearby at Teddington Cricket Club and St Mary’s University. As part of Dukes Education, we enjoy the benefits of close links to several schools in the area and the opportunities of being part of a forward-thinking and dynamic group.
