Haileybury

Hertfordshire

Salary:
Competitive + Benefits
Job type:
Full Time, Permanent

Job overview

Haileybury is a community in which many colleagues work and live together, and we place great importance on quality of life and wellbeing of every member of this community.  Human Resources plays a central part in developing our strategy to ensure we understand and cater for the needs of all who work at the School.

We have an opening for an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join us in this full generalist role; this is a great opportunity for an experienced and competent administrator/assistant looking to take the next step in their career.

The HR Coordinator will have responsibility for supporting the HR Advisor with the day-to-day operation of the HR function of the School; and improving, streamlining and delivering an effective HR service.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in an administrative HR role and will be a natural self-starter with a track record of delivering.  Strong initiative and ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously, with accuracy and efficiency, is a must in this busy, multi-disciplined organisation.

The post involves working 30-37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, throughout the year (52 weeks).  The nature of a 24hr a day, 7 days per week boarding school requires staff to work flexibly and there may be a requirement for the jobholder to work reasonable additional hours and early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Closing Date: 24th July 2020

To apply for the above position, please complete the enclosed Application Form, with reference to the Job Description, and return it to HR@haileybury.com along with your salary expectations.

Applicants should be aware that we cannot consider an application unless the standard application form has been filled in completely. Please be aware that your application form should include your full employment history and any previous employer may be approached by the School. Incomplete application forms may be returned.

Haileybury offers a world of opportunity for talented girls and boys who wish to contribute fully to our happy and purposeful community. “We provide a holistic education that balances academic achievement with the development of character, resilience and leadership”

We are academically selective and we expect our pupils to achieve excellent results in public examinations. Most of our pupils take up places at the best universities in the UK and around the world. In addition to providing intellectual rigour and challenge, we provide a holistic education that balances academic achievement with the development of character, resilience and leadership. All of our boys and girls are strongly encouraged to take full advantage of the widest range of co-curricular activities on offer at Haileybury. Participation in these activities stretches the pupils; it promotes a sense of social responsibility, enhances team spirit and engenders confidence.

The bedrock of a Haileybury education is outstanding pastoral care. A nurturing environment and spiritual encouragement underpin all of our endeavours and help shape the distinctive characteristics of Haileyburians.

Our goal is for our young men and women to leave Haileybury fully equipped with the life skills and the academic credentials necessary for them to flourish in a competitive global employment market.

We also hope that they leave the school fulfilled, proud of their achievements and full of compassion for others. If our ethos resonates with you, please do come and visit Haileybury. It would be our pleasure to show you around.
