We are looking to appoint a highly capable HR Manager who, as part of the trust’s central team, will play an essential role in supporting the continued development and growth of the trust. A high quality human resources function is central to our offer to schools and this vacancy offers the opportunity to lead the team through an exciting phase of our development. You will work closely with Directors and Headteachers to advise and manage in all aspects of people management, leading a small, committed team of fellow professionals. This is a one year fixed term, maternity cover contract.

You must have excellent, demonstrable skills in working with a variety of stakeholders as well as experience working across a complex multi-site environment. You will be able to work autonomously at both a strategic and an operational level with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting demands. Experience of working within an Education setting and dealing with TUPE would be desirable and experience of employee relations, payroll and pensions essential.

SHARE Multi Academy Trust currently consists of Shelley College, Heaton Avenue Primary School, Millbridge Junior, Infant & Nursery School and Cowlersley Primary School. New schools, both primary and secondary, are expected to join us in the next few months.

Professional development

Professional and career development is at the heart of what we do. In addition to our supportive appraisal systems, staff have access to a wide range of training and development opportunities including internal training sessions, external courses and sharing best practice across the trust.

Location

We are in located in the Huddersfield/Kirklees district, with many of our schools in close proximity to a number of towns and cities including Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield. Due to the excellent road links, journey times are minimal, with many of our staff travelling from these areas on a daily basis.

Recruitment process
