The School is looking for a full-time HR Manager from September 2018 to undertake responsibility in all aspects of HR, including recruitment and retention, succession planning, employee relations, policy development, organisational change and performance management and CPD.
The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. This is a busy and dynamic post and will require someone who is highly organised and possesses excellent administrative skills, remains calm under pressure and can work to tight deadlines. This is a full-time position, working 52 weeks per year with 5 weeks holiday which must be taken outside term-time.
Purpose and Key roles
To be responsible for all HR processes and procedures throughout the School including recruitment, selection and retention, induction, compliance and policies, performance management, training and development. To have an overview of all employee relations. To ensure that we are fully compliant with Safer Recruitment and that the Single Central Register is fully accurate and up-to-date. To provide legal advice to the Directors and the Head on any employment regulation up-dates, HR processes or staffing issues.
Understand and ensure full implementation of school policies and procedures in particular relating to child protection, Health, Safety and Welfare, Safer Recruitment and Security. Establish priorities, work independently and work without direct supervision on all routine matters.
