TERM TIME ONLY PLUS 10 ADDITIONAL DAYS DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE
We are seeking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to be responsible for the provision of a high quality strategic and operational workforce support, supporting the delivery of best practice people management across the school. The post holder will build trusting and effective relationships with the senior and middle leaders, providing expertise and leadership across all aspects of people and change management within the school, and on the interpretation of HR best practice and school policies and procedures. They will develop people management capabilities of line managers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to address their staff management responsibilities. They will be expected to manage all employee relations issues within the school, working alongside senior leaders with often complex issues. The successful candidates will be CIPD qualified or working towards a qualification, preferably Level 5 or above. Experience of working in schools or education is desirable but not essential. You must be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of employment legislation and be able to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. You will need to have some experience of line managing staff and a good understanding of the performance management process. The successful candidate will be required to work term time plus 10 additional days during the school holidays. About Frederick Bremer School
Frederick Bremer School is a mainstream, non-selective, co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16, situated in Walthamstow, East London. There are 860 students on its roll.
The school has specialist provision for children who have autism spectrum conditions. It also has a large and highly specialist special educational needs team, which supports a large number of pupils with needs ranging from visual impairments to cognitive learning needs.
Frederick Bremer School was named after a local entrepreneur who invented the first petrol-driven car in 1894, which he drove around the local streets of Walthamstow.

"The headteacher has been relentless in driving improvement over the last three years. As a result, the quality of teaching is increasingly strong and pupils are making rapid progress. Pupils’ personal development, behaviour and welfare are good. They enjoy being a part of the strong inclusive school community and have confidence in each other. The attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers in the school is closing quickly. Safeguarding provision is strong.
