This is a hugely exciting time for our family of schools. We are seeking an experienced Inclusion Lead to develop and provide strategic oversight of SEND provision across our Bishop’s Stortford hub. This role will provide operational and strategic leadership around the opening and running of the Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) and will sit on the Senior Leadership Team of Avanti Grange to help shape and drive the Hubs’ strategic objectives.

What will you do?

  • Lead and manage the opening of Specialist Resourced Provision at Avanti Grange and Avanti Brook
  • In collaboration with Principals and the MAT Lead for Inclusion develop a hub-wide strategy for Inclusion aligned with the core principles of The Avanti Way
  • In conjunction with the MAT Lead for Inclusion develop an annual SEND review cycle for the Bishop’s Stortford Hub
  • Analyse school performance, diagnose issues, broker support, monitor impact and build outstanding leadership capacity for all aspects of Inclusion

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified teaching status
  • Significant experience at a strategic level in a high-performing school or MAT
  • Knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • Proven track record of influencing the creation, direction and implementation of assessment and curriculum
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
