It is an exciting time to the join the organisation, as we are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and hands-on generalist with robust ER and operational experience, as well as strong influencing and negotiation skills to join our team.      

As HR Adviser you will have responsibility for your own client group, providing necessary support to the managers and staff in your designated areas. As an experienced generalist, you will be expected to advise managers on the application of HR policies and manage HR processes relating to recruitment, capability, discipline, grievance, sickness absence and job evaluation, as well as undertake relevant payroll processes. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of College policies and strategies and take a lead role on projects, as well as support other members of the HR team.  

Experience in the Further Education sector would be a distinct advantage.  A degree and post-graduate CIPD qualification; equivalent experience particularly in employee relations; high professional standards and a thorough understanding of diverse and complex HR matters; a creative approach to problem solving; strong communication skills and the ability to work in a unionised and changing environment.
