Job overview

Wootton Park School is seeking to recruit an Outstanding Human Resources Officer

Having opened with two Reception and four Year 7 classes in September 2016 at Wootton Hall Park, Wootton Park School will grow exponentially until it reaches its full capacity of 1,260 learners. We are looking to build our committed and passionate team in line with our growing school.

Wootton Park School offers a first-rate and unique learning environment, ensuring high levels of academic achievement and personal development for all, while promoting the value of public service and building a stronger society. As an all-through (4-19) school, we believe this brings a significant number of benefits for learners and staff, and we seek staff who share this vision with us.

Wootton Park School is committed to safeguarding their learners and so you will be expected to adhere to this commitment too.

Working alongside the senior leadership team and administration team, you would take responsibility for all HR within the school, including audit and introducing new more efficient systems, providing advice on all recruitment processes, keeping staff records and development logs, assisting and advising on appraisals, keeping relevant policies up to date, managing leave due to maternity, paternity and sickness etc.

The successful candidate will either have a CIPD qualification, or willingness to work towards one, and experience in a HR role. You will have good communication skills both with learners, when needed, and adults. You need to be able to work as part of a small team, efficiently.

Our Journey...

WPS opened in 2016 with two Reception and four Year 7 classes.

In September 2022, we had our first Year 6 cohort, so are now operational in every year group. In 2020 we moved into our brand new £20 million state-of-the-art school building, allowing our primary children to learn in state of the art science labs, food room and sports hall. As an all-though school, our primary children benefit from subject specialist teaching in Spanish, PE, art and technology.

WPS offers its learners a first-rate and unique learning environment, ensuring high levels of academic achievement and personal development for all, while promoting the value of public service and building a stronger society. As an all-through (4-19) school, we believe this brings a significant number of benefits to learners and staff, and we seek staff who share this vision with us.

What we can offer you...

As you can imagine, WPS is at an exciting stage of its journey. With school growth, there is an exponential amount of potential to develop responsibilities and grow your career by shaping policy, launching initiatives and contributing to the school's desire to  achieve excellence.

Our school coaching policy promotes a supportive and encouraging work environment to all staff in achieving their own goals and professional development.

Staff achievements are openly acknowledged and encouraged.
