Our school is a vibrant 11-18 secondary school located on the north bank of the River Stour, close to Blandford Forum town centre.  The school is committed to enabling every student to fulfil their potential.  We are ambitious for our students and we encourage them to aspire.

We are proud of our students and of our position at the heart of the community.  Staff and students treat each other with respect.  Students feel safe and enjoy being at the school.

The Blandford School has a comprehensive CPD programme, and a proven record of developing staff into middle and senior leadership roles.  Newly Qualified Teachers are mentored, and supported by an intensive induction programme.

The school has seen the completion of a £14m capital project, with the final phase being the installation of a full-sized, floodlit artificial grass football pitch.  We are extremely proud of our facilities, which include some of the finest sports facilities in the state sector, and a thriving extra-curricular provision.  There are regular overseas trips run by our Humanities, PE and Community Sports and Performing and Creative Arts Faculties, and staff are always encouraged to introduce exciting new trips.

Blandford Forum is located in the heart of beautiful rural Dorset, a stone’s throw from the Jurassic Coast and the award-winning beaches of Bournemouth and Poole, within half an hour of the New Forest and good links to regional airports and seaports with regular services to the Channel Islands and Continent.
