Due to promotion a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding Humanities Faculty.  We seek a passionate and dynamic Humanities teacher who can offer either Geography or History at KS4 and KS5. This post would be suitable for an ECT. A potential R&R could be available for an outstanding applicant.

Our most recent Ofsted in February 2020 rated the College ‘Good’ in all areas.

The successful candidate would be committed to raising the achievements of our students. You will be joining a strong, enthusiastic, subject specialist team with a record of accomplishment and success:

• Ranked 25th Nationally of all Non-Selective Boys School for Progress 8 with P8 consistently positive.

• A Peter Jones Business Academy (part of a select group of schools nationally) providing exclusive resources, courses and competitions that enable all our students throughout the College to develop skills needed to be successful in their future lives. 

• Free use for staff of swimming pool and modern gym facilities

Humanities  is an important subject at key stages 3 and there are multiple classes in both Geography and History at KS4.  These subjects are also popular at KS5 where in addition the Faculty offers Government & Politics.   The successful applicant will be passionate about their subject, be well organised and willing to go the “extra mile” to ensure pupils achieve.
