Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive School, based in Suffolk. The school are looking for a Humanities Teacher to join their team
The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of Humanities across years 3 to 11. As a Humanities Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teach pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.
“Located in rural Suffolk, this is an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours.
They have a committed and innovative multidisciplinary team, extensive site and excellent facilities to support both learning and extra-curricular activities; this school are in a great position to provide their pupils with the best education and care possible. You will be working within a team of highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a real difference."
The school is offering:
• A super supportive and highly visible multidisciplinary team
• On-going CPD with programmes of study including Diplomas and NVQs
• Progression support throughout the school and wider group
• The chance to take on further responsibility such as TLR or Leadership roles in the future.
The school require:
• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A relevant SUBJECT Degree or a related subject
• Experience in delivering Humanities up to GCSE
• Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important
• A love and passion for education
