Cambridge International School (CIS) Armenia is seeking an enthusiastic secondary school teacher to join our team in August 2023.

Either offering History or Geography to A level.

CIS Armenia is located in the heart of Yerevan, the vibrant and cosmopolitan capital city of the beautiful country of Armenia. Yerevan feels like a small European country. Armenians are well known for their generosity and friendly demeanor. Many teachers are able to save salary easily and the Mediterranean is just a hop away on direct flights. CIS Armenia is an international school which provides high-quality, affordable education for students from Early Years to Year 13 (3 to 18 years of age). The school follows the Cambridge International Curriculum and prides itself on high academic standards whilst developing the student's character in a caring, creative and respectful teaching and learning environment. Our students are a delight to teach.

The school currently enrolls 205 students from EY to Year 12 (expanding to year 13 in 2023-24). It is a single-form entry school, with a maximum of 18 students in each class. It has a wonderful community spirit. The school and teachers are very well supported by the parents.

Our teachers come from the UK, Australia, returning heritage Armenians, United States, Philippines, Russia, Syria, Lebanon, Ghana, Poland and Europe. As an International school we welcome diversity!

The school is expanding, with plans to move into a specifically designed and built a new campus in the next three years. As a result, there are excellent professional development and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications required:

·      A History/Geography/Business/Humanities Degree plus PGCE or PGDE/

QTS or equivalent teacher registration

·      International teaching experience (preferred) 

·      Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (an advantage)

·      Strong ability in Spoken and Written English
