Are you an enthusiastic ICT Teacher looking for a new leadership role? Would you be up for the challenge of leading a department?

We are seeking an eager ICT Subject Leader to play a key teaching role in our wonderful school in Teignmouth.

Trinity School is situated in 14 acres overlooking the town of Teignmouth and Lyme Bay. Excellent teaching and pastoral care in our nurturing and encouraging environment allow our pupils and staff to flourish. Our small class sizes mean that our teachers really know pupils as individuals and can provide tailored support to maximise achievement.

About the Position

The ICT Subject Leader will teach ICT (and/or Computing) and lead the department.

You will be responsible for:

  • The day-to-day running of the subject within the school;
  • Leading and provide a point of contact for all matters concerning the teaching of ICT;
  • Raising the profile of ICT within the curricular and co-curricular programme;
  • ensuring that courses are maintained and updated in line with changing School and societal needs;
  • Monitoring national subject specific initiatives and the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work and teaching and learning strategies in the subject and to inform the Director of Learning of any significant changes;
  • Part of this role will involve safeguarding responsibilities including the reporting of any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Team.


About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A specialism in the ICT with the ability to teach GCSE (level 2 qualifications), A Level and/or BTEC (level 3 qualifications) in the subject.
  • Experience being an excellent classroom practitioner who can lead by example.
  • A passion for education and an awareness of wider educational issues.

Trinity School is an independent, co-educational, all-through school for children aged 3-19 years old. It is situated in Teignmouth, Devon, and has approximately 490 day and boarding pupils. Bursaries and scholarships are available.

Trinity School was founded in 1979. It is a Christian school built on joint Anglican and Roman Catholic foundations. Pupils of all faiths and none are welcome in the school, which follows a Christian ethos in all aspects of school life.
