Job Description

A positive, experienced, energetic and reliable teacher is sought for the position of IB English Language and Literature Teacher for PORG in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The candidate will teach IB English Language and Literature, and IGCSE English, with the possibility to become Head of Department. The successful candidate should have experience of teaching GCSE, ‘A’ Level or other post-16 equivalents. Previous experience of teaching IB English and Literature is an advantage, but not a requirement. IB training will be offered to the successful candidate.

PORG Ostrava is a bilingual IB World School which was founded in 2010. It is located in the industrial city of Ostrava in the heart of Europe. It serves over 250 students aged 6 to 19 years old, and their numbers are steadily increasing. The PORG group was founded in 1990 and is comprised of three campuses, which are among the most prestigious private schools in the Czech Republic. The excellent results of our students and their high academic standards are regularly affirmed by independent testing in state, AP, and IB examination results.

The cost of living outside of the capital city, Prague, is relatively low, and there are excellent and inexpensive travel opportunities to the historic capitals of neighbouring central and eastern European countries.

The successful applicant will have:
