We're currently recruiting an IB English Teacher for a private international school in Andorra
You will
- need to have a min a BA in English
- need to have a degree in education or appropriate post-graduate teaching qualification
- speak English and basic Spanish
- have at least two years of teaching experience
- be passionate about teaching and learning
- demonstrate positive attitude and excellent collaborative skills
- exhibit competency at embedding technology within the curriculum
The school
The school plans to incorporate the three International Baccalaureate programmes in the near future (Primary, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes), providing their students with a high quality education and internationally-recognised prestigious qualifications.
They also offer the possibility of obtaining a Dual Diploma: the Spanish Bachillerato and the American High School Diploma that prepares students to achieve the highest skill levels in the English language, digital learning and personal responsibility.
Average classroom sizes are between 20-30 pupils. The school has in general between 300-400 students and 20-30 teachers.
Languages
The main language used is Spanish. Education is quadrilingual from the start. The syllabus covers a quadrilingual education in Spanish, English, French and Catalan. Students of many different nationalities.
Working with small groups allows the school to customize and enhance the area of languages: English, French and Catalan. They teach different subjects in English and French and prepare students to sit for the recognized language examinations such as:
- Trinity College of London English Certificate
- Cambridge University Examination Centre
- French Official Titles
- Diploma of Spanish as a foreign language
- C level Catalan certificate
