About Our School – Nord Anglia School, Jiaxing

Opened in September 2020, Nord Anglia School Jiaxing (NAS Jiaxing) provides a state of the art, world-class learning and teaching environment with a total student capacity of 2,028 and a boarding capacity of 864 for students aged 3-18. Providing a unique blended learning experience, NAS Jiaxing offers students the best of Eastern and Western education resources and philosophies. The bilingual programme will follow a progressive blend of core elements of the Chinese National Curriculum with other renowned international curricula taught through the medium of Mandarin Chinese and English.


As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, it shares resources and knowledge with 66 other schools around the world. The Global Campus will connect NAS Jiaxing students with other Nord Anglia Education schools based in 29 different countries worldwide. Students will be able to extend their international experience through opportunities to learn abroad, to connect with more than 64,000 students through the innovative online platform and to take advantage of exciting experiences and expeditions.

About the City - Jiaxing

Jiaxing, situated in northeast Zhejiang Province, the hinterland of Hangjiahu Plain of Yangtze River Delta (YRD), is one of the major cities in the YRD. Bordering the East China Sea in the east, the Qiantang River in the south, the Taihu Lake in the north and the Tianmuhu Lake in the west, Jiaxing, with the Grand Canal passing through, lies at the junction of rivers, lakes and the sea as the passage of Southern Taihu Corridor. The distance between Jiaxing and Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou or Huzhou is less than 100 kilometres. 

Jiaxing, a prosperous land known as Land of Rice and Fish and Home of Silk, has the characteristics of Jiangnan waterside towns. With the area of 4,275 square kilometres, it governs 2 districts (Nanhu, Xiuzhou), 3 country-level cities (Haining, Tongxiang and Pinghu) and 2 counties (Jiashan, Hiayan). It had a permanent population of 4.73 million at the end of 2018, including urban population of 3.12 million, with an urbanization rate of 66.0%.
