The Position:

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional with qualifications and experience working with students in the Middle School and IB Diploma Programme.

Individuals and Societies/ Humanities Teacher specialising in History is highly sought after, the ability and experience with IB DP Core (TOK or EE) would be advantageous.  Please share any prior Examination results should you already have IB experience.

Any interest or experience in Eco Schools would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate would be offered an initial 12 month Contract with the offer of permanent contract for a candidate willing to commit long term.

A strong commitment to purposeful teaching, positive energy, collaborative planning and open communication is essential.

Our classrooms are exciting centres of collaborative learning and this extends to the philosophy and vision of relations between teachers and families. We believe that collaboration with families is of particular importance and our teachers interact comfortably and confidently with parents as well as being imaginative and flexible classroom practitioners. We expect high standards in teaching and learning with a special awareness to language acquisition and literacy since the majority of students do not have English as their mother tongue.

Applicants must be willing to be active, flexible participants in a hard-working team of teachers. The initial contract will be fixed term for 12 months, after which there may be the possibility of converting the contract into a permanent position of employment.

Ability and experience of using CAT4 data to inform planning and Progress of every student. 

Skills in differentiation to ensure personalised learning for all students is essential.

Essential characteristics:

To hold "Certified Teaching Status" or equivalent qualifications;

To have had a minimum of two years teaching experience with students in Secondary School and post 16;

To be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy.

Previous experience with IB programmes is desirable but not essential and official IB training will be offered, together with relocation assistance.
