IB PYP class teacher (Grade 1)

The School: 

Gjøvikregionen International School (GIS) is a young international school, which opened in August 2015. We have grown from 30 students in 2015 to over 195 students to start next academic year in August 2023, with waiting lists in several grade levels. The school´s maximum capacity is 200 students. GIS is an IB World School authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme as well as the Middle Years Programme. Our goal is to prepare students to continue their education in the IB Diploma Programme at any IB school in the world, including Gjøvik High School.

The position:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join our PYP team. We are looking for someone that wants to contribute to the development of a relatively new school rather than fit into a well-established system.

Requirements:

    - a degree in education

    - teaching experience within the PYP

    - enthusiasm for and commitment to the PYP framework

    - valid IB PYP training

    - IBEN role(s) a significant advantage.

   - highly motivated and an excellent classroom practitioner, with the ability to inspire and engage students

    - enthusiastic, energetic and committed to children of all abilities.
