The International School of Siena is seeking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join us in September 2021. (Possibility of more than 1 position available in upper PYP - Grade 4, 5, 6)

Is committed to an Inquiry Based approach to teaching and learning.
Has at least two years recent experience of delivering the PYP.
Has experience of working with student on the PYP Exhibition. (PYPx)
Has good collaborative skills and is a team player.
Has good technology skills, including the use of Managebac, Seesaw and supporting the use of iPad’s in the classroom.
Is able to contribute to curriculum development in the school in the area of Language, Mathematics or Science.
Is flexible and shows initiative.
We are seeking an enthusiastic professional with qualifications and experience working with children in the upper primary years. We expect high standards in teaching and learning with a special awareness to language acquisition and literacy since the majority of students do not have English as their mother tongue.
The school has 1:1 tablet learning from Grades three to six and all teachers use iPads in their regular activities. Staff are provided with personal iPads for the duration of their time at school and each student has a personal iPad for use in school and at home.

All staff are required to offer after school activities as part of our Enrichment Programme.
The initial contract will be for the completion of this academic year after which there would be the possibility of converting the contract into a permanent position of employment.
• To hold "Certified Teaching Status" or equivalent qualifications;
• To have had a minimum of two years teaching experience with students of primary age;
• To be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy.
Previous experience with IB programmes is sought but not required and official IB training will be offered, together with relocation assistance.
