About Ecole Internationale Montgomery

Ecole Internationale Montgomery is a mixed, non-denominational all-through school with sixth form situated in Square Montgomery in Brussels, Belgium. It is an independent day school with bilingual instruction in English and French. A smaller than average school for an all-through school, EIM educates just over 100 students at all school stages between the ages of 6-18, with never more than 14 members to any one class. Successful students on the course are awarded a Certificate of Higher Secondary Education (CESS) or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diplomas, EIM being the only school in Brussels that offers an IB Diploma Programme in French.

The school was founded by current director David Gerone in 2007, a graduate of the Polytechnic School of the ULB in Brussels with the aim of offering a different sort of education, where students could receive an education that was as well-fitted to their needs as possible. For the school location, he chose an early 20th century town house in the heart of Brussels, where the school remains today. It has been an IB approved school since January 2015.

The focus of EIM is to deliver an education that is both truly bilingual and delivered in a productive and social environment that is compatible with its learners. It does not just teach students the importance of education itself, but of methods of learning that can benefit their mindset, be that through analytical thinking or autonomous choices. It is a friendly and welcoming school that always aims for success.
