ICT Apprentice

ADVERT TEXT:

We seek an Apprentice to join the school ICT team, and under the direction of the ICT Network Manager, you will be involved in:

• supporting the ICT team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of ICT systems, facilities and networks
• reprographics; providing technical and operational support
• assisting teaching and support staff, and students in the use of ICT equipment.

ABOUT THE APPRENTICESHIP:

This is an Apprenticeship role supported in working towards the Level 2 framework for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. It is a 15 month full-time training programme, one day per week training and four days in school. Good ICT skills are essential and GCSE grades A*-C in English and Maths are desirable. The Apprenticeship framework includes a balance of content in technical, business and interpersonal areas, designed to ensure apprentices have an appropriate set of skills to operate in today’s IT and Telecoms job roles. Apprentice minimum wage is £3.70 from 1 April 2018.

We are located in the pleasant, rural seaside town of Withernsea and serve the population of the town and surrounding villages. The school is committed to raising standards and in its Ofsted 2016 Inspection it was found to be a "Good" school.
