Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic Teacher of ICT and Business and as a valued member of our ICT team, you will play a vital role in the delivery of the curriculum. You will work closely with the Subject leaders to secure outstanding provision in ICT and Business and to engage young people in a love of the subject. You should also demonstrate a commitment to becoming involved in extra-curricular activities linked to ICT and Business.

Our ideal candidate will be a good or outstanding teacher and somebody who is a team player. You should have a track record of building positive relationships with pupils in order to support them to make exceptional progress, be committed to developing your own teaching practice and share the school’s high expectations for all pupils. You will also be an aspiring middle leader.

We ensure our pupils develop essential academic skills in line with our Trust mission to promote educational excellence, character development and service to communities.  

Who are Star Academies? 

Star Academies is a mixed Multi-Academy Trust that runs both faith-based and non-faith primary and secondary schools. We are a values-based organisation that works to improve the life chances of young people in areas of social and economic deprivation to help them succeed at the highest levels of education, employment and the professions. All of our new schools inspected to date have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED and two of our secondary schools were ranked 1 and 3 in the 2016 and 2017 national ‘Progress 8’ league tables.

Laisterdyke Leadership Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 18 year olds in Bradford. We joined Star Academies in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.
