Job overview

Situated in the centre of Lincolnshire, just three miles north of Lincoln, Riseholme College specialises in agriculture, equine and animal management training and education. We also offer Sport, Health and Social Care and Public Services at our brand new campus at the Lincolnshire Showground. Students have access to a range of modern learning facilities and residential accommodation. Riseholme has been the site of training and education for the land-based industries in Lincolnshire for more than 60 years and, with millions invested in state-of-the-art facilities, we’re taking the college into the next generation in the UK’s most important agricultural county.

You will join our existing ICT team to assist with the installation, maintenance and support of computer equipment across the College. You will resolve identified technical problems and undertake general tasks which will promote the use of ICT across all of the College campuses. Flexibility with working hours is required to support weekend and evening events, as well as the ability to travel between both Lincolnshire and Beverley campuses, to provide onsite support where necessary.

Educated to GCSE or equivalent in a computer related subject, you will also have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an IT support role. Although, this role would also suit an experienced ICT Technician. You will have recent and relevant experience of solving problems surrounding networks, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and email and security software. You will have a good working knowledge of operating systems and common applications, PC components and computer peripherals. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks are also essential for the role.

An excellent communicator, you will be dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to approximately 3,700 staff and student users across the college. If you are a confident and enthusiastic person who is looking to expand your skills and experience in an organisation that continually strives for excellence then we would like to hear from you.
