An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of the country’s most prestigious independent schools for an ICT Network Manager.

Working within a customer focused, innovative ICT Department your focus will to maintain, develop and improve. You will primarily maintain the Schools’ ICT infrastructure including physical and wireless networks, server infrastructure, backups, school systems and communications. You will be responsible for managing software deployments, administering & developing school systems whilst using your technical expertise to drive through ICT projects & improvements that enhance the lives of staff and students. 

As the successful candidate, together with your exemplary customer service skills and a desire to continuously learn and improve, you will possess three key attributes: you will be great at what you do, have attention to detail and care passionately about your work.

We welcome applicants with or without education or schools experience, however exposure to a 2nd/3rd line technical support role and a proven history of implementing ICT systems, developments and improvements is essential.

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day worked between the operational hours of 07:00hrs to 18:00 hrs.  In addition, the post will be required to work approximately 4 Saturdays per year between 08:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs and will receive the equivalent time off in lieu during the corresponding week.

Bedales School is an independent, co-educational, selective, day and boarding school for children aged 3-18. It is situated in Petersfield in Hampshire and there are 460 pupils on its roll. There are admission fees and scholarships and bursaries are available.

Bedales is a charitable trust and was founded in 1893 by J H Badley as a humane alternative to the authoritarian regimes of the late-Victorian public schools. Its founding ethos was, and still is, “Head, Hand and Heart.”
