Job overview

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the ICT Infrastructure & Customer Support department in our Schools Team which provides customer support to schools and academies across the East Riding of Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

As we enter a new and exciting phase of school MIS becoming cloud based, we are looking for a suitably qualified person to be in the forefront of promoting new opportunities for schools, including the new SIMS Primary.

You will provide training via the telephone, remote support, on-site training sessions as well as classroom based training to schools. You should be able to demonstrate experience working in a customer support or school environment and possess knowledge of School Management Information Systems (MIS) such as SIMS, with the expectation of delivering courses to school business managers, admin officers and the senior leadership team. The course material will range from a pre-designed catalogue of course material on SIMS as well as statutory courses such as School Census and End of Key Stage, however you will be able to design and create new course material to broaden the delivery of courses we currently offer.

Basic ICT skills are required and a professional/vocational qualification or equivalent training experience is preferred. This may be an ideal role for admin officers with SIMS experience who are looking for a new and exciting challenge.

For further information or an informal chat, please contact Sue Bottomley, Team Leader, tel (01482) 394472.
