S. Anselm's, Bakewell is an independent prep school offering outstanding provision from nursery through to GCSE (from September 2015) in a rural and spacious 18-acre Peak District setting. Building on its strong tradition and in response to local demand the school is proud to announce the opening of S. Anselm’s College in September 2015 offering superb GCSE day school education to 13-16 year olds at a very competitive rate.

S. Anselm’s has a newly refurbished library, a dedicated music block, art room, pottery kiln and 200 seat theatre with timetabled music, art and drama lessons for all children.  The superb learning support department ensures that every child’s potential is reached.

Superlative sports facilities and enthusiastic staff ensure children have a firm introduction to the main team sports with five sports sessions each week.  There are 6 tennis courts, cricket nets, a newly refurbished sports hall and a 20m indoor pool.  All children represent the school in team sports and reap the manifold benefits of being part of a team.
