Smart Teachers is recruiting for an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) teacher to join an ‘Outstanding’ independent special school in Ealing for September 2016. This inclusive and welcoming school caters for students, aged between 5 and 18 years, who have a range of needs including emotional, social, behavioural, and communication difficulties. This is a full time permanent position for the academic year 2016/2017.

About the Role

  • Teacher of ICT
  • Fulltime permanent role based in Ealing, teaching across KS3 – KS5
  • Teaching students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), specific learning difficulties (SPLD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Asperger’s and Social Emotional Mental Health
  • Competitive daily rate starting from £120 per day (depending on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Education/ PGCE, or an equivalent teaching degree
  • Have proven UK teaching experience (minimum one term)
  • Have experience teaching students with special needs, particularly with ADHD, OCD, Asperger’s and Social Emotional Mental Health (essential)
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
